Sturgeon School Board Anticipates Budget Adjustments

Earlier this week, the Sturgeon School Board approved a budget for the upcoming school year totaling over $5 million. Superintendent Dr. Melia Franklin says there are still some budget items that need to be determined.

Franklin adds any budget amendments after the state budget is approved by the governor will come in the following months.

Sturgeon’s new budget features a $6,000 surplus. It is the first time in recent memory that the district has a surplus budget.
