Street Projects Continue in Kirksville

The City of Kirksville recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of North Elson Street at Potter Street, following a 90-day drainage project. While that project was completed ahead of schedule, City Administrator Mari Macomber says there are still several street projects that are ongoing.

The city is also replacing some brick bands in the sidewalks. So far all of the projects are running on schedule. However, Macomber says the city has to balance the road work schedule carefully.

Another event scheduled to take place is Oktoberfest on October 9th beginning at noon in downtown Kirksville.
