For the first time in decades, Missouri FFA’s convention will not be anchored by the Hearnes Center in Columbia. With stay-at-home orders still in place, state officers are planning for a virtual convention this summer, instead of the annual event that was supposed to begin Thursday. However, Missouri FFA Adviser Leon Busdieker says that state proficiency awards will still go out this week.

Missouri FFA will also recognize the 988 members who earned their state degree. Busdieker says the significantly higher number is because of a change to determining the cutoff for the degree.

Missouri FFA will unveil the first 12 proficiency award winners Monday evening at 7 on their website.
