St. Elizabeth Uses Early Lead to Defeat Glasgow at Show-Me Showdown

The Glasgow Yellowjackets could not mount the comeback against the St. Elizabeth Hornets in a 60-52 Class 1 semifinal result. The Hornets jumped out to a 16-6 lead after one with seniors Jace Kesel and Caleb Oligschlaeger combining for 10 of the 16 points. The Yellowjackets never took a lead or tie in the contest, but a surge by senior Edris Hamilton in the fourth brought his team to within five.

Oligschlaeger led the Hornets with 18 while Kesel poured in 16. Glasgow will face Platte Valley in the 3rd place game Friday. Cropp spoke about the quick turnaround his team will have to make.
