Spartans Seek Signature Victory and Winning Conference Record

Moberly closes conference play at rival Mexico Friday. The Spartans enter 2-5 overall and 2-2 in the NCMC. Head coach Cody McDowell discusses Moberly’s focus in the final weeks of the season.

McDowell explains Moberly’s defensive mindset against Mexico’s option offense.

Mexico replaced three-year starting quarterback Ty Prince with junior Ty Sims. The 190-lb Sims guided the Bulldogs in the playoffs last year after Prince suffered an injury. Mexico head coach Steve Haag analyzes the offense’s development.

Mexico sits 5-2 and 2-2 in conference. The Bulldogs hold the two spot in Class 3, District 5, and their last two regular season games are against Class 4 schools. Haag reveals the keys opposite the Spartans.

Moberly boasts five straight victories versus Mexico. Coverage begins at 6:35pm on KWIX after the Lindy’s College Football Report. Eric Duick and Stuart Cox have the call.
