Moberly scored in all three phases, to improve to 3-0, with a 44-19 victory over Winfield at Dr. Larry K. Noel-Spartan Stadium Friday night…..

Brad Boyer with the call of Kyler Fanning’s 56-yard punt return, after the Warriors were stopped on their opening drive. The Spartans were stopped on a fourth and two play at the Winfield six yard line on their first offensive possession, but the defense kept Winfield pinned deep, which resulted in a mistake…..

The Spartans offense got in on the scoring after the free kick set them up in good field position…….

Moberly also got a 16-yard touchdown run from Gage St. Clair and the first varsity touchdowns from Carter Grant, on a five-yard run and Jay Lindsey’s 22-yard TD reception to build a 37-0 lead by halftime. Fanning went 75 yards with the opening kickoff of the second half for his second touchdown return of the night…..

Unofficially, Moberly quarterback Jackson Engel went 8-of-9 passing for 90 yards and two scores and led a balanced rushing attack with 72 yards on just four carries.
