We’re just under a month away from the deadline for soybean producers across Missouri to sign up for the annual yield contest. Missouri Soybeans Research Director Greg Luce says in addition to the state and district contests for non-irrigated fields, as well as a statewide irrigated category, a third category will take place this year.
Also new this year is an increased threshold before an automatic recheck of a field’s yield takes place.
Greg Luce of Missouri Soybeans says the top yields in each district as well as the state will receive cash prizes, with confirmed yields over 100 bushels per acre receiving a bonus. The registration deadline is September 10th, with yield forms due November 30th. Additional details and the registration form are available on the Missouri Soybeans website.
