Soy Producers Encouraged To Consider Planting SOYLEIC Beans In Their Fields

Licensees of Missouri Soybeans’ patented SOYLEIC high-oleic soybeans continue seeking more farmers to grow the product.  Bryan Stobaugh, director of licensing and commercialization, says farmers growing the bean could see an income boost at harvest, given increasing demand for high-oleic oils and soymeal for animal feed.

Stobaugh notes that the trait is non-GMO, with the traits selected through conventional breeding techniques.  That means crop management practices will differ.

Farmers can learn more about the SOYLEIC trait and opportunities available to grow the bean on the SOYLEIC website.
