Soy Checkoff Addressing Weakest Link In Biodiesel Supply Chain

Decades of soy checkoff funds invested in biodiesel have resulted in expanded production, but potential consumers continue to struggle finding higher blends at the pump.  Kyle Durham, past chairman of the Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council, says while retailers are receptive to their customers’ interest in the renewable fuel, they’re struggling to find it.

The Missouri Department of Agriculture has grants available through the Biofuel Infrastructure Incentive Program to partially fund needed equipment for retailers and fuel terminals.
