South Shelby Teams Dominate CCC Opponent Brookfield

South Shelby completed the doubleheader sweep against Brookfield in consecutive blowouts Tuesday night.

The Ladybirds used a 22-2 scoring differential in the third to pull away from Brookfield 62-23. Freshman Hannah Gaines scored 15 points, all by way of the three pointer.

Ella Daugherity led the Lady Dogs with nine points. Coach Ronnie Sharp said the hot shooting from South Shelby was difficult to overcome.

Brookfield falls to 16-8 with South Shelby now at 20-3.

The South Shelby Cardinals defeated the Bulldogs 74-41. The Cardinals got scoring contributions from nine different players. Zaiden Wood, Chance Rainey and Jayden Baker all reached double figures with Baker scoring a team high 18.

It was senior night for the Bulldogs who saw their senior point guard Owen Boley drop a game high 20 points. First year head coach Dray Starzl on the impact the seniors have made on the program.

The Cardinals improved to 11-12 on the season while the Bulldogs dropped to 4-20.
