Soil Health Workshop Set For Jan. 26th In Monroe City
Area soil and water conservation districts are encouraging farmers to take part in the Sixth Annual Northeast Missouri and West Central Illinois Soil Health Workshop, set for Jan. 26th in Monroe City. Lucas Brass is the soil health specialist for USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service office in New London and one of the workshop’s organizers. He says farmers who have adopted soil conservation practices have seen them pay off amid drought the past two years.
Another featured speaker is a farmer from North Carolina, Russell Hedrick.
