Small Class State Track And Field Championships Start Friday
The small class MSHSAA State Track and Field Championships begin Friday at Jefferson City High School. One of the local storylines will be Asher Buggs-Tipton. The Green City junior has gone eight-for-eight in state championships his first two years of high school. Buggs-Tipton won the 110 hurdles and long jump at the sectional meet, but placed second in the 300 hurdles and third in the 100 meters.
The Brunswick girls won their sectional meet and both Cairo teams finished second. Harrisburg and Westran boys teams went 1-2 at their sectional meet and the Brookfield girls placed second.
