Slater Conducting Copper And Lead Survey

Slater is preparing to conduct a materials survey that is required by the EPA and Department of Natural Resources to help determine if there is copper or lead in the drinking water. This survey is required by the EPA every three years. City Administrator Russell Griffith describes the process of collecting that information.

The Slater City Council voted to spend 55 hundred dollars to help expedite the process.

Griffith added they had just 18 months to investigate every service in town and that the council is happy to get them on board.
