Slater Approves Firework Guidelines

The Slater City Council approved for fireworks to be launched within city limits in honor of Fourth of July. Assistant City Administrator Russell Griffith says sales could have started Sunday and are allowed through July 4th.
Residents can shoot fireworks anytime from 9am to 9pm and until 11pm on July 3rd and 4th. The council also approved a new purchase.
The city also plans to raise trash rates one dollar to $10.75 per month.
