Site Plan for Proposed Industrial Business Approved

The Moberly Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the site plan for a proposed industrial business in the industrial park. During a presentation by the Austin Company, a site location consulting firm, it was indicated that this would be a meat processing facility, with close to 145 jobs to start, and construction potentially beginning as early as next month. Michael Bugalski is the President of the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation.

This project has been discussed for some time.

At the beginning, the search for a location involved four states.

The strong support from the City Council and the MAEDC, along with the central location, were mentioned as reasons for potentially locating the business in Moberly.
