As reported last month, lawmakers honored Randolph County Sheriff Aaron Wilson at the Capitol. The sheriff resuscitated former Missouri Senator Ed Emery at a Randolph County campaign event in August before Emery later died. Wilson says he visited with several lawmakers, including Representatives Ed Lewis and Tim Taylor.

Wilson indicates Representative Lewis facilitated the ceremony.

Sheriff Wilson replaced Mark Nichols in January after Nichols retired.

Wilson met Emery’s son at the Capitol. The 71-year-old Emery collapsed at the Randolph County Federated Republican Women’s meeting August 3rd, then died August 6th.
