The fund’s goal is to raise money for local causes and organizations. Hillard said they had good conversations with potential donors.
The fund council looks to hold similar events in the future.
The Shelby County Endowment Fund was launched in July. It’s currently just shy of the initial fundraising goal of 15 thousand dollars. Anyone interested in donating should e-mail Hillard at [email protected].
