Severe Weather could be coming to the Big K listening area over the next two days. Meteorologist Scott Blair from the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill says to expect some strong storms late overnight and into early Thursday morning.

There is an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms primarily south of Highway 24 Thursday. Blair says the chances for, and how severe the storms are Thursday is dependent on the timing of tonight’s overnight storms.

With the possible threat of overnight severe weather, Blair says Wednesday would be a good evening to have some sort of alert system available to wake you up if there is a warning in your area.

We will have KRES radar coverage if any Severe Weather arrives in the Big K listening area.
