Sergeant Eric Brown Promoted to Lieutenant

Colonel Eric T. Olson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol has announced that Sergeant Eric Brown of Troop B in Macon has been promoted to lieutenant and designated assistant director of the Public Information and Education Division, General Headquarters in Jefferson City. Brown was originally appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2004 where he was originally assigned to Troop C, Zone 1 in St. Louis County. He was transferred to Troop B, Zone 2 in Macon and Shelby counties in 2006. He was then promoted to sergeant and designated zone supervisor of Zone 3 in Chariton and Linn Counties in 2015. Brown was then transferred to Troop B Headquarters in Macon in 2017. He also served as a deputy with the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office prior to joining the patrol. Brown is a Huntsville native and a graduate of Westran High School
