Shelbina State Senator Cindy O’Laughlin has concerns for the future of nursing homes in Missouri. O’Laughlin says the potential closing of the Scotland County Care Center will be the start of several closings across the state.

O’Laughlin wants Missouri to join 14 other states in implementing oversight for Supplemental Healthcare Service Agencies and provide more funding to nursing homes.

O’Laughlin says her legislation is working to cap fees that agencies can charge for their services.
