State Senator Denny Hoskins says crafting the new state budget will be a challenge when lawmakers begin the new session in January.

The Warrensburg Republican is a member of the appropriations committee.

Hoskins was asked about the potential of fully funding the K-12 foundation formula and not cutting higher education.

Hoskins indicated leading up to the vote on Medicaid expansion, that if it passed, some cuts may have to come in the education arena. The new legislative session begins on January 6th.
