Senator Believes There Will Be a Special Session

Many lawmakers have indicated that they believe the General Assembly will be called back to Jefferson City for a special session that will focus on the budget. Senator Denny Hoskins says that’s a distinct possibility, but the timing is unknown.

The governor could also bring lawmakers back to deal with other issues, including potentially an on online sales tax.

There has been some speculation that lawmakers may be asked to deal with a prescription drug monitoring program during a special session.
