Secretary Vilsack Tests Positive For Covid

USDA announced Saturday afternoon that USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack has tested positive for Covid-19. According to the department, the secretary has mild symptoms and has been fully vaccinated including boosters. Earlier this week, Vilsack traveled to Mexico to visit with his counterparts on an official mission. USDA says Vilsack had tested negative prior to and after the trip. They also note that contact tracing is ongoing. Vilsack will continue his official duties while in isolation, and will return to the office once he tests negative.
