The reigning national champions lost a historic group of talent, even by Alabama standards. Seven-time national champion head coach Nick Saban discusses the Crimson Tide’s overhaul.

But Saban’s replacements have always proved capable. Alabama eyes a 14th straight top 10 ranking in the final AP Poll.

Saban’s new offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien last guided the Houston Texans for seven seasons.

Alabama graduated a Heisman receiver in Devonta Smith, yet the Crimson Tide return a 916-yard receiver in John Metchie. The junior Metchie partners with former top quarterback recruit Bryce Young.

Metchie and Alabama open the season versus Miami September 4th. Alabama starts SEC play at Florida September 18th. The Crimson Tide aren’t scheduled to meet Mizzou in 2021.
