Sangster Reflects on Departing Coaching for Macon Principal Job

For the past 16 years, Bobby Sangster has been a fixture as head coach of the California girls basketball team. He recently announced his departure from the program to return home to Macon to take the high school principal position. Sangster reflects on his 19-year coaching career.

Sangster is a 1997 graduate of Macon High School. He explains his decision to switch to an administrative role.

Sangster adds he’s thankful for what the California community has given to him over the years.

Sangster led the Lady Pintos to a fourth place finish in 2009 and a second place finish in 2018. His final season at California saw the team compile a 22-6 record.
