Samaritan Hospital Precautionarily Closed to Visitors

For the time being, Samaritan Hospital in Macon is not allowing most visitors. CEO Bern Orman says that decision was made Monday afternoon.

Any patients coming in for labs or x-rays are being screened at the door.

Anyone with a cough or fever is being screened at their car. Those people should first call 660-395-8607. Orman emphasizes these are precautionary measures, and there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Macon County.
