Sam Richardson “Coach R” Obituary

53-year old Sam Richardson the Third, also known as “Coach R”, died Saturday, after a short battle with COVID-19. The Director of the Moberly Area Technical Center is survived by his wife, Diane, his mother Nicki of Moberly, siblings Amy Hagar, Zachary Richardson, Elanor Sippel, Cate Sippel, Paul Dollich and Eric Dollich, all of Moberly.

Richardson was a graduate of Moberly High School and Missouri Valley College. He spent many years coaching Spartan football and wrestling and becoming Director of the Moberly Area Technical Center in 2016.

A celebration of life for 53-year old Sam Richardson will be Saturday, August 14 at 11:00 at the high school football field. Memorial visitation will be Friday, August 13 from 4-7:00 in the Moberly High School gym. Memorials may be made to the Sam Richardson Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of the Moberly Public School Foundation. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly is in charge of arrangements.
