Salisbury Wins A District Golf Title-Lichtenberg’s Low Round Leads Marceline To A Runner-Up Finish

A pair of Lewis & Clark Conference teams advance to state from the Class 1, District 2 boys golf tournament played today (Thur.) at Heritage Hills Course in Moberly. Salisbury posted a team score of 326, which was 27 strokes better than Marceline. Panthers coach Kenny Wyatt said all five were good…

Nolan Gordon led the Panthers with a score of 79, Elliott Carter followed with a round of 80, then it was Jace Carter’s 83, Jaxon Green’s 84, and Tyson Parker’s 87. Coach Wyatt said it’s been a good season….

Marceline edged Canton by one stroke (353-to-354) to be the runner-up team and head to state. Tiger senior Braden Lichtenberg had the low round with a 71….

Lichtenberg said he has been playing well coming into the postseason….

His teammate, Lance O’Dell, had the second best score of the day at 75. Other Tiger golfers going to state are Trenten Schreiner and Hayden Deweese.
