Salisbury Softball Hosts Winless Paris

Salisbury softball is set to host winless Paris Tuesday. Salisbury started the year 2-4 but has since won three straight and scored double digit runs in each of the three wins. Coach Kathryn Bachtel says All-State catcher Cayden Stapleton has been working her way back from patellar tendonitis.

Salisbury has made the state semifinals three years in a row and returns seven of nine starters from last year’s team. Bachtel is most encouraged by her team’s increased depth.

Paris enters the game 0-6. Following an 8-6 season opening loss to Louisiana, Paris has been outscored 67-5. You can hear the game on 99.9 The Captain with pregame starting at 4:45. Austin Ward will have the call.
