Earlier this month, the Salisbury School District learned it had been approved for an Emergency Connectivity Grant to purchase 400 Chromebooks for students. Superintendent Tony Whiston says the purchases of these Chromebooks has gone more smoothly than last year.
Last year, the district purchased 100 Chromebooks. Whiston says the new Chromebooks will end up being distributed to students throughout the district.
Meanwhile, the district also applied for a Department of Natural Resources Grant for $900,000. Whiston says funds from the grant would be used for multiple purposes.
The Salisbury School District expects to find out the fate of that grant request soon.
