Salisbury Run Rules Paris

Salisbury softball made quick work of Paris Tuesday night.

Austin Ward with the call on 99.9 The Captain and centralmoinfo.com of Julia Sloan’s game-winning RBI single. Sloan went 3-for-3 on the night. Salisbury had 12 hits in total. Jaden Howard pitched three scoreless and gave up two hits, one walk and struck out five. It marks the fourth straight win for Salisbury after starting the year 2-4 and the Lady Panthers have scored double digit runs in all four wins. Coach Kathryn Bachtel explained the offensive improvements.

Bachtel knows another deep playoff run will be more challenging with Salisbury moved up to Class 2 but her confidence remains high.

Paris coach Collin Huffman says his team needs to work on better communication.

Gracie Hatton pitched the first inning for Paris and gave up four runs. She is 30 strikeouts away from breaking the school record for career strikeouts. Freshman Kennedy Ashenfelter pitched the remainder of the game.
