The Salisbury R-4 School District has selected Tony Whiston as its new Superintendent. Whiston is currently finishing up his tenure as Superintendent of the Creve Coeur School District in Illinois. He has served as Superintendent there since 2016. Whiston is originally from Palmyra. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Central Methodist University and his Masters degree in education from Truman State University. He has previous teaching and administrative experience in both Missouri and Illinois. Whiston will assume his duties as Salisbury Superintendent beginning July 1st. He replaces Troy Clawson who is resigning from the position, to become superintendent of the South Shelby district.
