Salisbury Hosts Schuyler County in Crucial Lewis and Clark Conference Doubleheader

Top spots in the Lewis & Clark Conference will be battled for on Friday night when Salisbury welcomes Schuyler County to town for courtwarming. Both the Lady Panthers and Lady Rams enter play tied at the top of the standings at 6-0. The Lady Panthers enter the game on an eleven-game winning streak. Their last loss came in the third place game of their own tournament against Cairo on January 7th. Head coach Barry Graskewicz says it’s big for his young team to play in a game like this.

Schuyler County enters the game at 18-4 on the season. The Lady Rams shared the conference title last season with Scotland County. Coach Thomas Kirkland says they want to take it one step further this year.

The Salisbury boys also look to maintain their unbeaten record in the conference. The 19-3 Panthers defeated Marceline 93-27 Tuesday. Coach Kenny Wyatt says they have one main focus offensively for this game.

Schuyler County is coming off a 59-56 win over Harrisburg on Tuesday. It marked the Rams’ first victory against Harrisburg since 2011. They’ve also secured their first winning season since 2015-16. Coach Chris Prewitt says the Panthers’ offense provides one of their toughest challenges of the season.

Pregame coverage from Salisbury High School will begin at 5:45 pm on KRES 104.7 and centralmoinfo.com. Colin Schowe will have the play-by-play.
