The son of a Moberly native picked up his first Major League victory Sunday and it came against the team with the best record. Washington Nationals pitcher Jackson Rutledge earned the win in game 1 of a doubleheader with the Atlanta Braves. The 6-foot-8 righty from Rockwood Summit High School in St. Louis, limited the Braves to one run on three hits in five innings while striking out four. It was his third Major League start.
Jackson is the son of John Rutledge, who is a 1988 graduate of Moberly High School.
