Bob grew up and spent his whole life in Pike County. He attended Bowling Green schools, and there met the love of his life, Patsy.

Bob was a farmer by trade. He also drove over-the-road and was a school bus driver for a couple of years. Oh, the stories he could tell.

Bob never knew a stranger. He could walk in anywhere not knowing a soul and walk out with a handful of new friends. He would give the shirt off his back to help out anyone. He also never forgot to tell a joke.
He loved westerns, whether he was reading them or watching them on TV, playing a good game of croquet or cards, and playing the guitar, sometimes joined in by his grandson, Doug.

He enjoyed making toy structures for his son-in-law, Wes, as well as dioramas. He loved collecting toy cars, trucks, and farm implements.

While in high school, Bob enjoyed FFA and showing his hogs. He enjoyed working on cars and driving fast. He also served in the National Guard from 1969 to 1975. He was also a stock car driver. More recently, Bob enjoyed fixing up garden tractors and having his family help show them off in local parades.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Bob enjoyed the prayer quilt he received from the New Harmony Christian Church tied together by Jackie Branstetter.

Bob was a member of Curryville Baptist Church.

Bob is now with his father who passed on November 6, 1990.
