Representative Louis Riggs has a bill that would make each month a celebratory month. He says it would help improve tourism in the state.
Other months include agriculture history in October, Native American history in November and religion history in December. Riggs says it would be up to local communities to make the most of each month.
The bill passed out of the Special Committee on Tourism 8-1 and unanimously out of the Rules – Administrative Oversight Committee. It now sits on the House Informal Perfection Calendar.
