Representative Toalson Reisch Supports Open Enrollment

The Missouri House of Representatives recently approved an open enrollment bill for the state’s public schools, 85-69. Representative Cheri Toalson Reisch of Hallsville says the bill has two components.

Supporters of the bill feel it will give parents more freedom when it comes to school choice. Many local school districts have spoken against it due to potential economic impacts. Toalson Reisch downplays these concerns.

The Missouri Senate has yet to begin discussion on the open enrollment legislation.
