Representative McGaugh Named Chair of House Elections and Elected Officials Committee

Representative Peggy McGaugh of Carrollton has been named the chair of the House Elections and Elected Officials Committee. McGaugh spent a total of 32 years in the Carroll County Clerk’s office. She says her past experience will serve her well in this new role.

McGaugh adds the bills the committee will review cover a variety of issues.

Initiative petition reform is expected to be one of the main focuses. McGaugh details what her main roles will be as committee chair.

McGaugh spent the previous four years as the vice-chair of the House Elections and Elected Officials Committee.
