Representative McGaugh Discusses House Bill 1878’s Passage

In the final days of the session, lawmakers passed House Bill 1878, which covers several aspects of election reform in the state. Representative Peggy McGaugh details one key provision she placed in the bill.
The bill also deals with voter photo ID.
The bill sponsor is Representative John Simmons of Pacific. Both the House and Senate collaborated closely on the final bill. McGaugh details her role in the final process.
A similar election reform bill sponsored by McGaugh failed to gain traction in the Senate. However, many of those provisions were placed into House Bill 1878.
