During the governor’s State of the State address last week, Mike Parson asked lawmakers to set aside $100 million this year to start a rainy day fund that could eventually grow to 2.5 percent of the state’s general revenues. State Representative Danny Busick of Newtown says that’s a smart move.

Busick applauded the governor’s commitment to rural highways.

Busick also liked the governor’s proposal to renew some of the agricultural tax credits that expired in December.
