Red Cross Month Starts March 1st
February 29, 2024 8:21AM CST
The month of March serves as National Red Cross Month. This celebration started back in 1943 when President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued the first Red Cross Month proclamation. Missourians are encouraged to make a financial donation, give blood or become a volunteer during the month of March. Those who donate at redcross.org/givingday on March 27th will be part of the 10th Annual Red Cross Giving Day. Anyone who gives blood March 1st through the 24th will receive a 10 dollar e-gift card to a pet supply merchant of their choice and be entered into a drawing for a three-thousand dollar gift card.
