The Randolph County Health Department announced Thursday it was notified of three new positive COVID-19 cases. Those three people traveled to the same place together and contracted the virus while away. They quarantined when they began developing symptoms and have since been isolated at home. Contact tracing has been completed on three of the five active cases and the department’s nursing staff is working with the other two patients to complete contact tracing. Randolph County currently has five active cases; 12 people have recovered; and no one has died or has been hospitalized.

The department reminds you to stay home if you have any of the following symptoms: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headaches, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
