Earlier this week, the Randolph County Health Department held a special board meeting in response to a recent letter sent by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt. The letter called on local health agencies and school districts to stop enforcing mask mandates and quarantine orders. Randolph County Health Department Administrator Sharon Whisenand explains the department’s next move.

Whisenand adds this will mean the department will largely continue with previous recommendations in combating COVID-19.

Schmitt’s letter was sent following the results of a court case in Cole County that deemed such health orders null and void.
