The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office announced it has confirmed a deputy tested negative for COVID-19 after a family member previously tested positive. The deputy is still self-quarantined until further notice due to extended exposure helping care for the family member. The deputy will not return to service until authorized by the Sheriff’s Office Administration. Due to possible exposures outside the Sheriff’s Office, two employees have been self-quarantined until test results are verified from the family members. The Sheriff’s Department says it is taking every precaution to ensure its employees stay healthy and continue to serve the citizens of Randolph County while preventing the spread of this virus.
