Randolph Commission Public Meeting To Address Rte 3 Concerns

The Randolph County Commission has set up a public meeting one week from tonight at the Westran Fire Station to voice concerns over MoDOT’s handling of the Route 3 closure. Presiding Commissioner Sid Conklin is upset with the lack of urgency in getting the road open….

Conklin says MoDOT lists the closure as two years, when in reality it’s three years, and with the recent announcement that the timeline for letting a contract is pushed back, Route 3 will be closed four years….

The Randolph County Commission’s public meeting will be held Monday, June 12th, at the Westran Fire Station in Huntsville at 6:00. Conklin said he has a commitment from State Senator Cindy O’Laughlin to attend and he’s hoping other legislators and a member of the Highways and Transportation Commission will attend.
