R-CALF officials say they will appeal the Montana District Court’s decision that threw out their challenge of the beef checkoff. Bullard says they’re also arguing it’s not proper for the NCBA to purchase board seats on the state beef councils in order to control checkoff monies when the money is supposed to be used for goods and services…tape

The appeal is being filed with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in California.
