Quarantine Comes When Truman is Playing Well-Bulldog Women at Jewell Saturday

A quarantine of the 10th ranked Truman men’s basketball team comes at a time when the Bulldogs are playing well. In the last three games, the Bulldogs have held their opponents to an average of 52 points. Those three opponents each had a top 10 scorer in the GLVC and that trio of stars was limited to a combined 24 points by the ‘Dogs defense. Coach Jeff Horner says this quality of play will help his team achieve lofty goals….

Horner’s 10-1 Bulldogs postponed Thursday night’s game with Lindenwood and Saturday’s game with UMSL, which would have been a showdown of the top two teams in the GLVC, when the team had a positive test for Covid. Truman Director of Athletics, Jerry Wollmering has also announced that the teams’ road games at McKendree and Southern Indiana next week are postponed.

The Truman women, with three postponed games so far, moved up their February game at William Jewell to Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs have won four in a row, to improve to 8-2. You can hear the broadcast from Liberty on Superstation KRES and centralmoinfo.com starting with the Truman Tipoff at 12:45.
