Putnam County Schools Adding Daycare for Employees’ Kids

The Putnam County School Board this week voted to move forward with opening a daycare for the children of employees. Superintendent Heath Halley says the Putnam County Learning Center should help in recruiting teachers.

Halley says the district plans to be able to care for 25 kids, and gave two current employees as an example of the need for this.

The district will use the old Head Start building on campus, and plans to open the daycare by July First.
