Putnam County Finds Out About School Closure Before Board Meeting

Just a couple of hours before last week’s school board meeting, Putnam County Superintendent Dr. Heath Halley heard the announcement that Governor Mike Parson was closing Missouri’s schools for the remainder of the academic year.

Halley says there are still a lot of questions.

Halley says they also began discussing what summer school and the beginning of the next academic year may look like.
