Protection Volunteer Program Provides Insight into the Work of the Missouri Department of Conservation

Missourians who have an interest in working in conservation can participate in the Department of Conservation’s Protection Volunteer Program. Macon County Conservation Agent Jared Kelly says this serves largely as a ride-along program.

Volunteers will be able to travel all over the state for conservation programs and outreach efforts. Kelly says this program provides a unique insight into the work of the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Kelly adds there are a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the department.

Anyone interested in the program should contact their local conservation agent.
